Jim joined Calgon Carbon in 1997 as sale manager - Asia, engineered systems. In 2001 he was selected as the director of sales – engineered systems which included engineered systems sales responsibilities in the Americas and Asia. In 2004, he was promoted to general manager of Calgon Carbon’s UV Division.
In 2008, Jim was promoted to vice president, corporate business development. During his tenure in this role, he led the 2010 acquisition of Hyde Marine, which provides systems that disinfect ballast water, and played an important role in the acquisition of Calgon Carbon Japan.
In 2010, Jim was promoted to the position of vice president -- Americas operations, with responsibility for all manufacturing, facilities and application engineering, logistics, supply chain and purchasing for the Americas.
In March 2012, Jim was promoted to senior vice president, Americas. In this position, Jim is responsible for all manufacturing
facilities in the U.S., as well as marketing and sales of all Calgon
Carbon products and services in North and South America. In addition,
he will oversee the company's research and development activities. He remains responsible for the company’s UV division and Hyde Marine.
Prior to joining Calgon Carbon, Jim spent 8 years in the engineered systems business, primarily in hydrometallurgy and pulp and paper markets. Jim earned a B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from Ryerson University and M.B.A from the University of Pittsburgh’s Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business. |
