Calgon Carbon Awarded U.S. Army Air Filtration Contract

Pittsburgh, PA — June 2, 2010 — Calgon Carbon Corporation (NYSE: CCC) announced today that it has been awarded a federal contract by the U.S. Army Contracting Command, Rock Island, Illinois, for general purpose air filtration machinery. The contract is valued at a minimum of $1.9 million with a potential value of $5.1 million over a period of three years.

Calgon Carbon has over fifteen years of experience in supplying filter housings and "V"-bed activated carbon filters for indoor air purification, industrial air purification and military applications.
