Technologies/Solutions:

To produce premium beverages, manufacturers often require the removal or reduction of colored compounds, as well as and taste and odor compounds. This is commonly accomplished by using activated carbon or ion exchange resins, separately or in conjunction with each other.

Some common beverage products that activated carbon and ion exchange resin treatment can add value to are:

  • Fruit and vegetable juices
  • Juice concentrates
  • Liquid sugar
  • Wine and vermouth
  • Flavored Malt beverages FMBs (hard seltzers, malternatives)
  • Distilled spirits (vodka, rum, whiskey, etc.)
